Theory 9 Continues Monthly Food Distribution Amid Federal Cuts

As federal funding for food assistance programs faces new challenges, Theory 9 remains committed to fighting hunger in the Bronx by continuing its monthly food distributions along side NY Common Pantry ensuring families still have access to the essential resources they need.

The last Friday of each month, hundreds of residents line up at Theory 9’s community site to receive fresh produce, pantry staples, and household goods, supported by local partners and volunteers who refuse to let policy cuts weaken neighborhood care.

“Our community can’t afford to wait for help we are the help,” said Shakir Seagers, Founder and CEO of Theory 9. “No family should go hungry because of decisions made far from where the need is felt.”

Through these ongoing efforts, Theory 9 stands as a lifeline for Bronx families, turning compassion into action and proving that when the community comes together, resilience always wins.
