Theory 9 Joins City As School For Open Streets

Theory 9 partnered with City As School to transform the block into a vibrant hub of community, creativity, and connection through our Open Streets initiative. The event welcomed students, families, and neighbors to enjoy a safe, car-free space filled with music, resources, and interactive activities that highlighted the spirit of togetherness.

From basketball recreation and wellness activities to arts, games, and cultural showcases, Open Streets provided something for everyone. Local partners and vendors lined the street, offering information, giveaways, and hands-on experiences that encouraged youth to explore new interests and opportunities.

The energy was electric as students stepped into leadership roles, helping to organize, guide, and support the day’s events. For many, it was more than just a block party. It was a celebration of school pride and a chance to reimagine public space as a place where young people thrive.
