Theory 9 Incorporated hosted an unforgettable “Trick or Streets” event, transforming the streets of the Bronx into a festive and safe Halloween celebration for families and children of all ages. The event, designed to provide a fun and secure environment for trick-or-treating, brought together community members for an evening filled with costumes, candy, and camaraderie.
The streets were adorned with Halloween decorations, creating a spooky yet inviting atmosphere. Volunteers and partners participated enthusiastically, setting up themed booths and stations where children could collect candy and enjoy various activities. Each booth featured different Halloween games, ensuring that every child had an opportunity to win treats and prizes.
To ensure the safety of all participants, Theory 9 coordinated with local law enforcement and community leaders. The event included designated crossing guards, well-lit paths, and first aid stations. This attention to detail helped create a worry-free environment where families could fully enjoy the festivities.
Entertainment was also a key component of “Trick or Streets.” Local performers, including live D.J and dancers took to the streets providing live entertainment throughout the evening. There were also daffodil planting stations, bikes raffled, and candy bag decoration stations that added to the festive spirit. Pizza and refreshments kept everyone energized and added to the overall enjoyment of the event.
Council Member Pierina Sanchez and Shakir Seagers, the founder of Theory 9, addressed the crowd, expressing gratitude for the community’s support and participation. Our founder emphasized the importance of creating safe and joyful spaces for children and thanked the volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible.
The “Trick or Streets” event was a resounding success, drawing a large turnout and leaving lasting memories for all who attended. It exemplified Theory 9’s commitment to community engagement and provided a much-needed opportunity for families to come together and celebrate in a safe and welcoming environment.
