This holiday season, Theory 9 Incorporated turned N.S.L.A. into a hub of joy, laughter, and community as families gathered for our annual Holiday Joy Fest a celebration rooted in love, giving, and togetherness.
Thanks to the support of our incredible partners CPRF, Boost Mobile, KRVC, Community Board 8, Council Member Pierina Sanchez, and Metro Plus Health we were able to provide holiday gifts to over 800 children, ensuring that hundreds of young people across the Bronx felt the magic of the season.
From the moment families walked in, the energy was unforgettable. Youth and adults took part in wellness and mindfulness activities led by Orisha Wholeness and CodeBX, creating space for connection, healing, and positive vibes during what can be a busy time of year.
The celebration also featured raffles throughout the night, with three lucky winners each receiving $100 gift cards, and one grand prize winner walking away with a Bumpboxx speaker. Add in snacks and games provided by Theory 9, and the room stayed full of excitement from start to finish.
And of course, no holiday celebration is complete without special guests Mr. and Mrs. Claus made a surprise appearance, posing for photos and spreading cheer with families and children eager to capture the moment.
“At Theory 9, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated,” said Shakir Seagers, Founder & CEO of Theory 9 Incorporated. “Holiday Joy Fest is our way of showing our community that we’re here not just during the holidays, but all year long.”
Holiday Joy Fest is more than an event. It’s a reflection of Theory 9’s mission to uplift families, empower youth, and strengthen our community through service and partnership. We’re grateful to everyone who volunteered, donated, and showed up to make this night unforgettable.
From all of us at Theory 9, thank you for helping us spread joy this season. 💙
